Mayani Musumali

Mayani Musumali is the Executive Director of the Centre for Peacebuilding and Transformative Leadership. She is a dedicated development and peacebuilding practitioner with over ten years of progressive experience in the non-profit sector, working to advance peace, social justice, and human development across communities. She holds a Master of Science in Peace, Leadership and Conflict Resolution from the University of Zambia (UNZA), a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Citizen University, and a Certificate in Psychosocial Counselling from PEAK College. Mayani has built strong expertise in program management, capacity building, advocacy, and conflict management. Through her work, she has supported initiatives that promote inclusive dialogue, strengthen institutional capacity, and encourage peaceful conflict transformation at both community and national levels. Her leadership is defined by integrity, inclusivity, and a strong commitment to empowering others. With a strategic and forward-looking approach, Mayani continues to contribute to shaping dialogue, strengthening institutions, and advancing sustainable peace.

Sydney Mupeta | Governance Expert, Researcher & Consultant Bridging the gap between academic theory and transformative public policy, Sydney Mupeta is a leading voice in Governance and Development. Currently a PhD candidate at the University of the Western Cape, Sydney’s work focuses on the vital intersections of consensus democracy, youth political engagement, and global citizenship. With a Master of Education in Civic Education from the University of Zambia and a robust portfolio of peer-reviewed research, Sydney doesn't just study systems, he helps shape them. He has served as a strategic consultant for premier international organizations, including UNESCO, Oxfam, and Plan International, delivering actionable insights across the Southern African region. As a member of the Zambia Election Research Network, he remains at the forefront of democratic evolution and civic empowerment.
